Let’s just put it out there, WINTER SUCKS. I’m not afraid to hate on it. I’m not a winter lover, I wish my parents had found a different climate to bring us up in……even though I love my Long Island, I do NOT love the winters. Especially these days. The only saving grace is my family doesn’t get sick all that much. We’re very health and nutrition oriented, and thankfully, it pays off for us during cold season.

However, the kids, well they have friends……and those friends get sick. Kids with colds aren’t welcome in our home! I’m big on letting fellow moms and dads know about fantastic meds that help with colds for their kids! I even show them great coupons they can score, like  $2 off digital coupons for Children’s Mucinex Multi-Symptom Cold!

Children's Mucinex ProductI’m all about being a helpful parent, who can share the love, and knowledge, about keeping their kids from getting my kids sick! Is that wrong? I don’t care, as long as we keep this house a germ free, not-needing medication, no nose blowing, oasis of health. So for all you families out there with kids who are sick, I’m letting you know Children’s Mucinex products are in liquid form, and the Multi-Symptom Cold product helps get that mucus all broken up. It even helps with the stuffed up noses! True chizz!

All joking aside, do my kids get sick? Of course. They’re kids. It just doesn’t happen all that often, but when it does happen, I try to find medications that actually work, plus taste decent. Children’s Mucinex Multi-Symptom Cold has a Very Berry flavor. The kids tolerate the flavor, however, I’d prefer if it was clear. My kids wouldn’t mind if it didn’t taste so “chemical.” I suppose they mean “medicine-like.” As I’ve written before, they aren’t use to taking medicine, it’s not a regular thing around here.

The kids can take it during the day, even if they have school, because it won’t cause them to get drowsy. Which is good, because I hear it’s important to stay awake while in class……even if you’re only in PreK, or First Grade. Definitely nice to know the mucus is being worked at while they’re at school, and I don’t have to wait until they’re home to help relieve some of that congestion.

Listen, for $9.99 at the local drug store, it’s worth it to have in the house JUST IN CASE. Use the coupon when you go, it’s for $2 off, and you’ll get an even better deal. Totally worth it, and if it doesn’t get used this winter, save it for next winter. Just check the expiration date on the box to make sure it’ll be good next season!

WINTER SUCKS, but when you’ve got a little something to help when the kids are hacking all over you, and each other, it can suck just a little less! Use the coupon, head to the local drug store, or wherever you get your meds from a pharmacy (Walmart works, too,) and buy Children’s Mucinex Multi-Symptom Cold. Plus, I know colds happen all through the year, not just in winter. I know, the nerve of germs. Just be prepared, Spring officially starts today…..at least that’s what the calendar says, but germs could care less what time of the year it is!
