Immediate relief for sensitive teeth

Disclosure: This is a sponsored post for which I received monetary compensation. I’m a part of One2One Network and was given the opportunity to experience the newest Crest product for sensitive teeth. All opinions are 100% my own.

Having kids screws your body up for years, and sometimes forever. Isn’t that just the best? You grow those little monkeys in your body for nine months, and as a parting gift, here’s a plethora of body changes for you to remember this time we spent together. WHAT? After my daughter, I had all kinds of issues, but they all seemed to go away. Well, let’s have another kid, because that’s just what married couples do, right? Yeah, well, my son caused major changes in my body and the most lasting one? Teeth sensitivity. I’ve got two teeth, right smack next to each other, that hate the cold. They hate the cold more than I hate the cold. Until recently, there was no immediate relief for sensitive teeth. Just lame toothpastes that never worked!

Relief for sensitive teeth

If you’ve got sensitivity in your teeth, you understand it’s a big deal. The pain when you bite down into something that’s too hot, or perhaps drink something that’s just too cold for your teeth to handle, it’s like knives shooting through your head. It’s also harder to brush when you’ve got tooth sensitivity. I’m sure that’s causing a whole plethora of issues for people around the world: bad breather, rotting teeth, cavities, etc. On a truly cold day in the winter, if the wind kicks up and catches my sensitive teeth, it’ll set off a headache. The pain just rattles around my teeth, right up into my sinuses and BAM. Instant headache.

I’m definitely not the only one with these kinds of issues. There’s approximately 57 percent of adults with sensitive teeth out there. In my case, my husband says it’s the only sensitive part of me….yeah, gotta love a man who can sweet talk you, right? Listen, it’s not my fault that the porous tissue that’s usually protected by my gums and tooth enamel is all exposed. Pregnancy caused some major issues with my gums, and this is the fun result! The porous tissue, which is Dentin, has microscopic holes, which are called tubules. Those little tubules lead directly to the nerves inside your teeth. Yeah, bet you didn’t know that!

When the dentinal tubules are all exposed, thanks to enamel loss, or like me, a bit of a receding gum line (thanks to my son for that,) some stimuli will trigger those fantastically sensitive nerves. All of this sensitive garbage leads people to try and avoid the area at all costs. Great, but you still need to brush, floss and take care of your teeth so they don’t fall out…. as attractive as that would be, it’s best to keep teeth in your head. Soft bristled toothbrushes are bogus, still hurts. Silly toothpastes that tell you they help with sensitivity don’t work, and then what about when you want to fight cavities with your toothpaste, instead of sensitivity? I want the option to use whatever toothpaste I want, to hell with the sensitivity toothpastes!

All of us like to avoid dental work, so if given the chance, we’ll try other alternatives for immediate relief for sensitive teeth! Now, there’s Crest Sensi-Stop Strips. Ten minutes, one strip, a full month of relief. Yes please!

Crest Sensi-Stop Strips

On each strip, there’s oxalate crystal. When you slap the strip on your sensitive teeth for ten minutes, all that crystal provides a targeted and concentrated ingredient right where it needs to be. Ten minutes and there’s a lasting barrier created. It just sets up shop and blocks the tubules.

According to Paul Sagel, Procter & Gamble Research Fellow and Inventor of Crest 3D White Whitestrips and Crest Sensi-Stop Strips

It took an entire team of dedicated R&D professionals to create Crest Sensi-Stop Strips. Beginning with innovative technology found in Crest 3D White Whitestrips, we then fine-tuned the product…..until it met our rigorous efficacy, safety and quality demands.

The strips are coming out in September, and people will be able to pre-order the Sensi-Stop strips on Crest’s website! A package of 6 strips will cost about $19.99, and they do not go bad, so you can have six months of relief for your sensitive tooth. Since my two sensitive ones are next to each other, I’m able to use one strip on both teeth and it works perfectly. Winner, winner, chicken dinner!

Now, if you’ve gotten anything from this post, it’s to not have children, they mess up your teeth. KIDDING. It’s if you have sensitive teeth, you no longer have to suffer! Crest Sensi-Strips might be just what you need so you don’t have to use special toothbrushes, or toothpastes, or get crazy dental work to relieve the pain. Give the strips a try, it’ll be worth it!

I have very sensitive teeth and my gums bleed when I brush my teeth. This thing seems a good remedy for it. Thanks for sharing.
