Just when you think you’ll get out of the winter months, without suffering through a blizzard, mother nature slaps you in the face. She screws up your weekend plans, and drops not inches, but feet, of snow all around your home. When the weather outside is frightful, it’s time for Skylanders SuperChargers on WiiU. Well, at least for my son, that is!

I don’t handle snow well. Hell, I don’t even like winter. Cold is not my thing, but since I’m a New York girl, there’s really no way around suffering through winter, and dealing with snow. Fortunately, my kids love the snow. A little bit of snow. Not over two feet of snow. When that white stuff starts to pile up, and there’s snow drifts everywhere, and we can’t even get out the side door of our house thanks to the snow piles blocking it, it’s time to hunker down inside!

Little Miss works on her own website, or she creates beautiful jewelry. My son? He heads right to his Nintendo 3DS and the WiiU. He’s quite the little gamer these days, with lots of amazing games to play. What’s he always start with? Skylander SuperChargers. I don’t blame him, it’s a pretty cool game with interactive characters and vehicles.

What I love most about Skylanders SuperChargers is how much he loves the characters. He’s invested in these little figures, and when he isn’t playing the game, he loves playing with the game’s vehicles. I don’t love how I end up stepping on them when I go downstairs to clean up a bit when company’s on the way, but hey, it’s a small price to pay for a happy little monkey!
