Interior Design services from Homepolish

Have you ever wondered what it’s like to have an interior designer in your home? I have! Sitting on Pinterest for hours, and hours, and hours, has brought me to the realization I have no idea what I’m doing when it comes to home design! I’ve got an entire area downstairs after the flood exactly ONE YEAR AGO TODAY. Well, now I’ve found a kind of awesome little treat I had to share with everyone!

It’s no longer just a fantasy, my friends. You can get help from the interior design start-up Homepolish. They make it easy (and affordable!) to get an interior designer in your home who will help create the perfect space for you. The experience is truly one of a kind!

Beautiful, affordable interior design by the hour from Homepolish

Let’s break down the interior design experience for you

Let the designer get to know you

Tell the designer the bare bones. Is the project a:

  • home
  • office
  • store

Perhaps, something else? You know, like a flooded basement that needs finishing.

  • How big is the space?
  • Have a project budget?
  • Do you own, or rent?

And then tell them the juicy stuff:

  • What inspires you?
  • What does your ultimate dream space look like?

From picking paint colors to gutting a brownstone, they can handle any project, any size. What they can’t do: light a fire under your anyone’s ass. It’s up to you to finish the last of the spackling in order to focus on decorating with the help of a designer.

The first date, aka meet your Homepolish designer

Homepolish meeting with interior designers

Here’s what happens during your initial one-hour consultation: you and your designer meet, they tour your space, you guys chat. Then your designer follows up with a few design options for improving your home/office/basement/whatever. They start with a one hour consultation so that their designer can understand your goals, needs and wants. Communication is the foundation to every healthy relationship!

Homepolish wants the relationship between you and their designer to be as stress-free and helpful as possible. If during the initial consultation, you and your designer don’t get along perfectly, Homepolish will tweak the matchmaking process, and send another one to the house. The initial consult is $50 or $80 (Junior and Senior rates). If you’re over it, there’s no pressure to buy hours after the consult.

Purchase your designer’s time

Affordable interior design for your home.

One of the many reasons Homepolish is unique to the interior design world is because you purchase time by the hour. Time is never wasted. It’s dedicated to picking paint colors; sending you furniture options; renovating.

Whatever the size and however complicated your project is, they are there to help! Junior designers’ time costs $100/hour, Seniors’ cost $130/hour and they have two package options: a Single Day session (three hours) and The Design Package (as much time as you want with a minimum purchase of ten hours).

I love this post! Homepolish sounds like a dream. Anything that takes the stress out of renovating your home is great. Have you thought about writing a post about renovating/revamping your garage?

Once the rest of the house is done, I hope to organize the garage, and make major improvements to it. It’s on my “to do list that never seems to end.” LOL!

Haha I totally know the feeling. When you get to the point when your ready for a garage overhaul, I work for a garage storage company in the area, and it would be a treat to work together!

          The whole process scares me!

No need to be scared! It’s actually a very stress-free process. We have trained professionals that can draft a storage design specifically for your garage, free of charge.

Fingers crossed I can get it done soon. It’s such a struggle after a flood! And doing everything on your own dime, not insurance’s dime. UGH.
