Summer Reading #Freebies for Kids

It’s that time of the year again, Summer Reading is rearing it’s ugly head. The kids will whine, and complain, but not if they’re able to earn free stuff, right??!!! Or attend cute story times!

Let’s see what the summer has in store for our little readers this 2013 season!

  • Pottery Barn has a Summer Reading Challenge happening now through August 26th. Kids can read books from a recommended list, plus head to the store each Tuesday at 11am to enjoy weekly story time. Kids receive a special surprise for reading all the books on the list.

On Tuesdays, if you head to story time at 11am, you’ll receive an official book club passport at the story time, plus a special gift after attending five story times.

Find the pottery barn closest to you, and check out their schedule of events to learn more about the program!

  • Barnes & Noble always runs their summer reading program during the months of June into August. It’s pretty easy, as you just read any 8 books and record them on the Reading Journal PDF they provide! Once you’re child is done, bring the list to your local PARTICIPATING store, and pick a FREE BOOK from the options on the Reading Journal list at the store!

It’s not a huge amount of reading, and the kids have all Summer to get it done to earn their free books. Take advantage and have fun! Enjoy the freebies!!
