We’re all trying to make mornings more manageable, right? I mean, no one likes mornings. Even morning people don’t like mornings. If they tell you they do, they’re lying. Okay, maybe they do enjoy those first few hours of the day before the rest of the world wakes up. However, if you’re reading this, you probably aren’t one of those people. There are several benefits to waking up early, but getting up when the first ray of sun tickles your nose isn’t easy.
Four ways to make mornings more manageable
Check out these four ways to make your mornings much more manageable.
Prepare the Night Before
Mornings should be “grab and go.” If you are trying to put together a nice outfit and a healthy lunch at 7:30 in the morning, you are going to be more tired and less organized. Do yourself a huge favor by picking out your outfit and packing your lunch the night before. If you carry a backpack or briefcase, have it packed as soon as you finish your at-home to-do list. You will thank yourself in the morning!
Have a Morning Routine
Waking up at the same time each day, even on weekends, makes getting up much more bearable. Having a set wake-up time will make tossing off the covers much easier. You can then jump straight into teeth brushing, cleansing your face, showering, and eating breakfast. It’s helpful to align your wake-up time with the sunrise, but you can make the wakeup time later if you do step one.
Take Time for You
Are your mornings dedicated to your to-do list? You can find joy in your mornings when you take five or ten minutes to do something that brings you joy. Whether it’s playing with your pet, reading, or meditating, be sure to incorporate a joyful practice into your morning that will help you get through the day. Even just taking a few minutes to make a gratitude list can help boost your mood.
Treat Yourself
What’s a morning without a cup of your favorite coffee? If you don’t have time to brew a fresh pot of joe every morning, consider getting some K-Cups from 11th Street Coffee. Pair it with your favorite breakfast to give yourself something to look forward to each morning. Fueling yourself with the right foods and beverages is the best way to make your mornings more manageable and enjoyable.
Prepping at night and adding enjoyment into your morning will help you power through the day and keep your spirits up until it’s time to relax on the weekend.
