Fill my cup, put some Vicks in it

stock up on Vicks products for flu season #ReliefIsHere #walmart #fluseason #ad

Our family doesn’t get flu shots. We have our reasons, as do the people who get flu shots. However, our family does stock up on Vicks products to be fully prepared for flu season, as well as cold season! There’s no guarantee the flu shot will protect anyone against the flu, either. It’s probably a great idea to head to Walmart to stock up on Vicks products for flu & cold season! Plus, the flu shot definitely won’t protect you against those horrible colds. It’s important to always be prepared, right? All I can say is FILL MY CUP, put some VICKS in it.

Working from home has the benefit of not being around a huge amount of germs. It didn’t matter where I worked in Corporate America, everyone always loved to touch my computer keyboard, as well as use my phone. No one ever respected my privacy, even when I was in my own office! Co-workers would barge in, and while picking up my phone to dial it, ask “Do you mind if I use your phone?” My desk was just a breeding ground for germs.

Granted, I have two kids who go to school and are just surrounded by snotty noses, and kids sneezing in their faces. Yes, my husband works in an office, also surrounded by mostly men who don’t know how to keep their germs to themselves. My illnesses have been cut down dramatically since I transitioned from Corporate America’s offices, into my own little office in my house. It doesn’t mean I don’t run to Walmart to pick up plenty of Vicks NyQuil and DayQuil to have on-hand when the germs infiltrate my home! @Walmart has fantastic savings, they accept coupons and I can head to the food aisle and get snacks that make me feel better when my head is ready to explode from a nasty cold. One-stop shopping is a beautiful thing!

DayQuil and NyQuil have regular strength products. I’m not knocking them, they’re fabulous for a regular, hum-drum cold. I’m not sick often, but when my body finally succumbs to illness, I get hit HARD. My sinuses clog up, and the pressure sets off headaches. My throat feels like razors have set up shop all the way down to my stomach, and of course, this is when I feel the urge to swallow every two seconds. Plus, thanks to the post nasal dripping, I’ve got the lovely cough. The cough that gives me all those rock hard abs I want, but refuse to do crunches to get. Yeah, that’s the kind of cough heard around here for days.

Temporary relief is needed day, and night. I’m a mother. I don’t get time off, so I need to have a daytime relief so I can function through the day, but still be a mom. The only answer is DayQuil, the orange liquid of love. I mean, we are an orange loving family here at November Sunflower! At night, when the husband is home, and I can crash in my bed after running the kids all over for their activities, means I need hard core relief from NyQuil.

Vicks DayQuil Severe Cold & Flu, and Vicks NyQuil Severe Cold & Flu, are my choices for relief. Being able to breathe through my nose is a big deal for me when I’m sick, so I’m not mouth breathing and causing my sore throat to get worse. #ReliefIsHere with the liquid versions of DayQuil Severe and NyQuil Severe when my throat feels like fire, because swallowing capsules is somewhat painful. The beauty of it? Everyone has a choice. Liquid, or capsules, it’s up to you. Walmart has them at the same great prices!
