Did you ever see the movie We Bought a Zoo? It’s a movie starring Matt Damon and Scarlett something-or-other. In the movie, Matt Damon’s daughter tells her father the neighbors are too loud. Their “happy” is too loud. The family had just lost someone – mom/wife. Later in the movie, after life has gotten a bit better, the same little girl is giggling and happy while Matt Damon, A.K.A. her Dad in the movie, puts her to bed. And he says “Uh-oh, your happy is too loud.”

The movie is cute, but those two moments in the movie always stick with me. I believe when you can find your happiness, it is the ultimate gift you can give not just yourself, but everyone around you.

Happiness is different for everyone. However, when you find the happiness that is YOURS, and yours alone, I feel it makes life….well, it makes it LIFE. It makes life LIFE. Does that make sense? It just means you are truly LIVING, not just surviving, or going through the day to day motions. It’s something that I was reminded of while watching Happy on Gaiam TV. The movie is a documentary, which means it is one of those thought provoking movies that will make you tear up at least once. AT LEAST once. It made me tear up three times. And that’s all I will admit to!

If you haven’t “met” Gaiam TV yet, it’s the time to start. It’s the first streaming subscription service focused on providing top documentary films, and content, for the mind, body, and spirit. It’s even got FITNESS videos! It’s all available 24/7 for your computer, laptops, iPads, smarphones…..you get the idea! I think, after viewing a few of the films, and much of the content, it is worth far more than the monthly fee of $9.95. It’s got so much you can watch, including self help videos, and the documentaries, and fitness videos. Jam packed with amazing content.

There’s also no commitment. If you hate it, just cancel it. BUT, if you want to try it out first, you can do that for TEN DAYS at no charge. And if you sign up for the 10-day free trial, you will be entered to win a 3-month subscription and a cozy, organic fireside blanket (which is over a $125 value.)

Sign up for the FREE 10 DAY Trial for Gaiam TV, test it out, see if you like it, and have the chance to win the giveaway. Nothing to lose, EVERYTHING to gain. The first video you should watch is called HAPPY.

Happiness Film

Happy was the first movie I watched on Gaiam TV. Like I wrote above, it made me cry, and it reminded me of how happy I actually am! I’m happy for so many reasons, and I try to spread the happiness around all through the year. I love to share things that make me smile, or make my life a little “less stressed,” and things I just bring a smile to my face!

I’m making some commitments. I’m going to do more of the things that make me happy: spending time with my kids without worrying about “what I should be getting done around the house,” laughing with my husband, sharing my knowledge about nutrition, finding more people to teach about my skills for shopping without paying out of my own pocket, and family time.

I have a ton more things that I love to do, that bring me complete joy and happiness, but those give a good overview of how I plan to make sure my happiness is SUPER LOUD all year long!

If you’re looking for a unique gift for someone you love, who might need a little more happy in their life, consider signing them up –> Gaiam TV FREE for 10 Days
