Adding New Flavors to Your Classic Guacamole

We can all agree a classic guacamole made with fresh avocados just hits all the right spots when you want something quick, full of flavor, and filled with crazy healthy ingredients without it tasting like you are eating healthy food. Trust me, I’m a die hard fan of mashing avocados into a creamy dip with juicy tomatoes, red onion, salt, pepper, and a squeeze of lime. But, guacamole can start to become boring. When it happens, there are options to zhuzh it up (or jeuje, whatever way you prefer to spell it).

Adding New Flavors to Your Classic Guacamole

We’ve all kind of sighed as we look at our beloved dip and chips thinking “I love you, but I need more from you”. So the important question we need an answer to: how does one zhuzh/jeuje up their beloved classic guacamole? Add some new flavors to it! And oh the options are aplenty. Exploring new ways to enjoy creamy or chunky guac is gonna blow your mind. Make sure you’re pantry is well-stocked with your favorite chips, and whatever foods you enjoy topping with guac should also be well within reach as you create these guac recipes.

Light Up the Grill for this Guacamole

If you don’t mind taking a bit of extra time, as well as lighting up your grill, this Grilled Guacamole will definitely set you up for a great treat. This one is also great on a juicy grilled burger, or some grilled steak tacos, as well as grilled chicken. You’ve got the grill going for your meat, might as well take it a step further and throw the avocados on there, too! Personally, I skip the cilantro since it tastes like soap and replace it with parsley. I also love to grill the citrus I use (lemon or lime) for the guac.

Roast Your Own Peppers for a Mediterranean Avocado Smash Dip

I adore all mediterranean flavors. Some of my favorite ingredients are feta and cucumbers. I truly do NOT like jarred roasted peppers, so I roast my own for this Mediterranean Guacamole when I make it. Definitely worth the effort. Once again, swapping out the cilantro for parsley works well for this recipe, too.

Greek Guac (olives or no olives, it tastes great)

Now, first and foremost, I hate all olives. I know, it’s weird since I love Greek cuisine in a big way. When making this Greek spin on a classic guacamole recipe, I leave ’em out. To replace the salt from the missing olives, you can use capers, or preserved lemon, or some pine nuts. All work well with greek flavors!

Caprese Guac Dip

Keeping up those mediterranean vibes, consider going the Italian route with a Caprese version. My favorite part of this guacamole recipe? MOZZARELLA! We get the little balls of mozz an cut them in half, fold them into the mix. Love it.

BLT Guacamole

Instead of having a bread-heavy BLT, skip the bread and put all the BLT flavors into your avocados to make a killer guac! It’s a little extra time you have to spend making bacon, but it absolutely pays off in the grand scheme of things.

Get Boozy with your Guac

Flavor up your guac with the ingredients normally used for a well-loved cocktail: the Margarita. Just make sure the kids don’t dip into this one. This adults only spin on the classic guacamole will please everyone at your next gathering.

Never say guacamole is boring again with these spins on your classic guacamole. You’ll love them, and if you’re having a gathering, your guests won’t be able to shovel these versions into their mouths fast enough.
