Some people are coffee lovers because they need the caffeine. They drink it just because they NEED it. And then there are coffee lovers who love to swim in the flavor. Our true love is the taste, and a great side benefit is the caffeine. But we’re super weird and drink decaf varieties, too. Even more important: we’ll take a dessert that has the same bean water taste, without even having to drink any. I mean, of course we love a good cup of joe with a side of dessert that tastes of our favorite beverage. But we’ll take just the sweet treat if push comes to shove.
Make Your Coffee Lovers the Best Desserts
I don’t know about you, but I’ll take a coffee infused dessert any day of the week. Hell, I’ll take one every damn day of the week. Sweet, creamy, cake-y, crumb-y – whatever it is, serve it up. Point blank, I’m not a huge sweets lover. I’m a savory over sweet gal, but if there’s a treat infused with java, it’ll make me sweat a bit. It means I’ll have to unbutton my pants so I can eat twice as much as I was planning on eating without poppin’ buttons.
When I want lighter dessert options, I go for:
- Bigger Bolder Baking’s Silky Coffee Pudding
- Sugar Salt Magic’s Coffee Creme Brulee
- The Cinnamon Jar’s Eggless Coffee Mousse
- Panna Cotta from Buuck Farms Bakery
- The Forked Spoon’s Affogato
If I’m feeling the pull towards my favorite Tiramisu, I go with:
The times I’m going more the traditional route:
- Fit and Full’s Coffee Cheesecake
- A Baking Journey’s Coffee Cinnamon Rolls
- Baking Ginger’s Layered Coffee Cake
- The First Year Blog’s Mini Coffee Cheesecakes
Is it really too much coffee?
Crazy people out there who don’t enjoy coffee flavors MIGHT think pairing their favorite beverage with desserts made with the same beverage MIGHT be too much coffee. Obviously they’d be wrong, but if you just want a dessert to munch on whilst sipping coffee with your fellow coffee lovers, dip into some traditional desserts! Head into the kitchen and make some doughnuts, chocolate chip cookies, gingersnaps, holiday season cookies, pie, or chocolate cake.
