Cocoon by Sealy: what it’s been like on #TeamSoft

Sleeping isn’t something I seem to have an easy time with. I’ve got too much on my mind, and no matter how exhausted I am at the end of the day, I still have a hard time falling asleep. It didn’t help having a total nightmare of a mattress. Totally uncomfortable. My first step to better sleep: incorporating a new pillow. It helped, but the bed was still total garbage, right? Well, the next step: securing a better mattress. It was my goal to find out if the Cocoon by Sealy mattress, California King sized, could be my happy place.

Team Firm, or Team Soft? How’s a girl to decide?

When it comes to bed time, there’s a few things stacked against me. First, my brain has no clue how to shut off. It doesn’t let me rest. Second, Mr. Sunflower snores. Not just snores, but could wake the dead. I’m not exaggerating. Many former roommates commented about the snoring. It.Is.Loud. Third, my old dog seems to be unable to get through an entire evening without having to go outside to pee. He’s 17, so I can’t blame the poor thing, but dang it! Finally, my mattress. Well, up until now, my mattress was a problem, because it was over 15 years old.

NOW? Now we’ve got the Cocoon by Sealy, and it’s been a positive change, for sure. When I tested out the two types of mattresses during a Cocoon by Sealy event in NYC, I fell in love with the soft one. I fully intended on being all Team Firm, but I quickly jumped from Team Firm to Team Soft. I happily checked off the California King SOFT box, and giddily skipped back to Penn Station.

After opening the mattress up, and sleeping on it, it didn’t feel as soft as the one I tested. I’ve been sleeping on it for over a month, and though it still doesn’t feel as soft as I remembered, I’m very happy with my improved sleep. When I tested out the one in NYC, it was as if the mattress accepted me as its own. It hugged me tight, and let me sink right in. The firm mattress felt like a regular mattress, with a little give in it.

Our new Cocoon by Sealy mattress, which clearly says SOFT on the box, started out feeling like the firm mattress I had tested out. Apparently, it needs time to break in. As the weeks go on, it’s definitely softer. It’s a huge adjustment from our old, crappy mattress we were sleeping on for years. I don’t wake up with aches, and pains, anymore. I sleep more soundly between my new pillow, and my new Cocoon by Sealy mattress. When Mr. Sunflower sleeps on the couch, I get a real night’s sleep, with only one disturbance when my dog has to go outside. However, it’s a lot easier to fall back to sleep when there’s no snoring coming from the other side of the Cocoon by Sealy mattress, that’s for sure.

I do believe Cocoon by Sealy is #MyHappyPlace

I’m feeling pretty good about being on TeamSoft. My sleep’s improved. I experience less aches, and pains, when I wake up each morning. Life’s been pretty dang good on #TeamSoft – and the best part of all of Cocoon by Sealy? If I wasn’t happy on the new mattress, and called Cocoon by Sealy within 100 days of delivery, they have no problem replacing it! It’s what they do. Not satisfied with firm? Cocoon by Sealy sends you the soft, and vice versa. It’s the 100 night free trial, and simple returns, that set this mattress apart from many other brands. If you’re thinking about getting a new mattress, I strongly recommend Cocoon by Sealy. You cannot go wrong with a 100% satisfaction guarantee, free shipping, 10 year limited warranty, 24/7 support and simple returns.

I’m considering getting the new Chill cover for the mattress. Oh, right, I forgot to mention! The mattress comes with a cover you can remove. Unzip, remove, clean it and if you so wish, get the Chill cover. I didn’t have the option of the Chill cover when I purchased my mattress, but later this summer, you can get the Chill cover when you order. It’s a cover that is cool to the touch, and stays cool all night long.

You’ve got to check it all out on www.cocoonbysealy.com! You can’t go wrong with guarantees, free shipping and more.

I like a soft mattress also to ease my aches and pains. 100 days is a nice guarantee. The cool thing sounds like a good idea; I wish we had one for our bed because it can get very hot.

It’s interesting that the soft mattress seems to have softened over time for you. I wonder though if it will continue doing this and just how soft it can go? I’m due for a new mattress and the Sealy one is in my shortlist.

It’s softened, but not an extreme amount. Right now, it’s settled in. I think, I mean I’m not a scientist, or mattress expert, but when it comes it’s so compacted – it needs time to get to where it should be. It’s stablized and has finally gotten to where I feel like it was when I first tried it out.
