A good black suit will almost never go out of style, so make sure you invest in the best you can afford. If you invest in a really good suit, then over time you can have it tailored or altered to fit both changing styles, as well as even changes in your build.

Classic Black Oxfords

While you may have a closet full of black shoes, you’ll also want to keep a pair of classic black Oxfords on stand-by. Not only will black Oxfords pair beautifully with your good black suit, but they will also add an extra touch of elegance to almost any other suit. While plain black loafers may get you through most events, good black Oxfords will get you through the rest.

White or Light Button-down

In an age where fewer and fewer men need to dress as formally at the office, owning a good button-down shirt is not always a given anymore. A white or light button-down is similar to a white t-shirt in that it is one of the most versatile wardrobe items you can own.
