Oh my heck, The Boy is starting Kindergarten in September. It’ll be the first time he’ll have to bring his own lunch, and snack, to school. It’s a full day of Kindergarten around here, and he’s excited. I’m sure it’ll all change after a couple of days in school, but for now, he’s excited to be at the same school as his big sister, Little Miss. His first request? To get a lunchblox like his big sister has, so he can put it in his Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle lunch bag. I just so happened to be offered a great chance to sample the new Flat version of the Rubbermaid LunchBlox. Here’s what we thought of the Rubbermaid LunchBlox Kids Flat kit……it’s too big for his current lunch bag.

Seriously, the flat ones are way too long for either of my kids’ current lunch bags. Little Miss has the stackable ones, and so I had to head to the internet to find a coupon for the stackable version of the LunchBlox for The Boy. Luckily I found one, and was able to purchase a size that fit his TMNT lunch bag. The Flat LunchBlox will be used for me! It’s a win for all of us! I spend a lot of time running around with the kids, but when they’re both in school ALL DAY come September, my life will get more focused on growing my blog, and my Isagenix business. What’s that mean? Me on the road, and without the Flat LunchBlox, I’d be eating extremely unhealthy food options.

The beauty of the Rubbermaid LunchBlox? It keeps foods chilled with it’s Blue Ice pack. The Blue Ice goes in the freezer to freeze up, then the containers snap onto the Blue Ice. There’s special little grooves for the containers, and it all looks like a Tetris game come to life! My favorite thing about the blox? They can go in the fridge, and they can go right in the microwave, AND they can go right in the dishwasher! All the plastic is safe for all these amazing tricks, and it’s BPA-Free.

I get to eat healthy, and at the end of the day, I can throw it in the dishwasher. I’m happy! It’s going to save me money at the drive-thru window, too. The flat lunchblox can be purchased at Target, Walmart, and at grocery stores….I’ve seen them range in price from $14.99 to $19.99, so make sure you visit Build a Better Lunch’s website for coupons.
