When I travel with my kids, it’s rare we need to break out the tablets. We’re just on the go all day, and have little down time. Down time during our travel adventures is SLEEP time! However, when I travel solo, I like a lot of down time. A lot. It helps me unwind, which is why I’m traveling alone, or with a girlfriend. Downtime sometimes means I pull out a book, like my time away in March when I traveled to the Gulf Coast of Florida for a few days.
Other times, downtime means losing myself in one of my favorite movies, or television shows. Depending on the local stations for good movies, and television, when I travel isn’t my favorite thing. I hate having to shuffle through the stations to figure out which ones are which, and what’s on. What do I do instead? I’ve got my Verizon Fios Mobile app on my iPad Pro, as well as my Samsung Galaxy S7. Hells yeah, I do!

Let’s say I’m away, it’s a Monday, and my all-time favorite show, Lucifer has a brand new episode. Since it’s on at 9pm, I’ve got plenty of time to hang out all day and then wander back to the hotel by 9pm to watch. If I can’t get back in time, no worries. I can DVR it, and watch it later, or the following night. Heck, I can even watch it on the plane home if the plane’s equipped with WiFi (because, well, that’s all I have available on my iPad.)
Movies? I’ve got my DVR filled with movies I want to watch, but haven’t had time to watch. If I can’t sleep while I’m away, I just open up my iPad, click on my Verizon Fios Mobile App and I’m lost in a new movie for a couple of hours. Fingers crossed I’m able to sleep afterwards!
Watching Verizon Fios online while traveling is a huge perk for me, especially being able to program, and access my DVR through it, too. I’m not sure how I ever traveled well before Verizon Fios! Life on Fios is pretty damn sweet!
