Supporting companies that make products in the United States is something I’m very proud to do. I love when companies are all about the Made in America mentality! I may not have a huge disposable income to allow this type of shopping to happen on a regular basis, but it’s something I strive to do as often as possible. Rustico, Made in the U.S.A., and created by hand, allows me to purchase quality products, even if they products are a bit higher in price. For much of their line, the handmade aspect pushes the price points up a bit far, but on the whole, the products are high quality. The leather is top notch!
Why do I, November Sunflower, love Rustico? They love the USA, and show it in every product they produce. All the products are not just made in our amazing country, but all of the materials the craftsmen select, those come from the U.S.A. as well. What else could make this company even more amazing? They always use recycled paper in the products they craft. It’s just American goodness from top-to-bottom, and from side-to-side!
Hand-sewn binding, and handmade products….it’s insane to think there’s a company out in the world dedicated to using only the finest materials like top-grain cowhide, and 100% Virgin Merino Wool. The colors are vibrant, I only wish I’d gotten the orange Wool Parley Journal to review. Little Miss would have been in all her glory!
When you visit the site, you’ll have a little shock about the prices. I understand. If this was being produced by a machine, I’d never pay $35.00 for a wool journal. Trust me. I get the sticker shock! However, it’s more than just the products. It’s the idea behind it. Rustico embraces the idea we all should have products we love, that are handmade from materials only from the United States. Everything is crafted in Utah, and it doesn’t get anymore American than Utah, right?
On a recent trip to California, I loved using my Wool Single Track Wallet. It held all of my pre-paid VISA cards, so I could easily find them when I had to pay for things like a Disneyland park hopper pass. It fit perfectly in my pocket of my pocket, and it held 6 cards without any issues. I even folded up a couple of receipts after I purchased a delicious Dole Whip float in Disneyland.
Once my conference started, the wallet became my business card holder….perfect way to keep it in my pocket, so my cards were on-hand no matter when I needed cards to hand out. It didn’t bulge the pocket, and I still rocked my gorgeous jeans!
If you’re going to pay $19.00 for a cute wallet, made of the best materials from the United States, you figure out ways to make the most out of your purchase! Dual purpose wallet, and business card holder works for me!
