Sears and fashion……not always how I think of Sears. Normally, when I hear Sears, I think of when I was a kid, going to get tools with my Dad. It wasn’t someplace to go to find the latest trends, much less a place where the Kardashians would have their name! But hey, times have changed, and now Sears is breaking into the newest fashion trends with a big bang. However, the price points might not be what you’d expect at Sears.
When I received an invite to attend a Fashion Week Brunch for searsStyle™, I jumped at the chance to check out some great fashion for my readers!!! It just floored me it was Sears! I know I’m not the only shocked one, right?
Normally, I’d go to Sears for a bit of a bargain, especially when they’ve got a coupon, and I’m working a good sale. However, the fall is coming, and I’m still a tiny size 2, and I’ve got next to NOTHING that fits me, for the fall season. I did much of my shopping for the Summer at a variety of stores, and it’s not easy to find size 2. Apparently, Sears Junior department has them! I’m just not super sure I can warrant spending so much on these items. There’s one piece I’m fixated on, it’s from the Kardashian Kollection, and I would consider paying the $168.00 price …..it’s this little bad boy right here my friends.
It looks pink in the photo, but it’s a cream color, with a black material over it. It’s called the Women’s Lace Trench Coat in black and nude. It caught my eye IMMEDIATELY. And there’s a dress with a similar design, that I totally loved, too. The problem? My camera I had to use was my phone camera, and the pictures aren’t as good as good as I had hoped they would be. Bad girl on my part, for not bringing my awesome camera. It was either track it down this morning, or catch the train. I chose to catch the train instead! Anyway, the dress is the Women’s Lace Cocktail Dress, it’s on their site for $99. I loved it. Looks even prettier in person.
One of my favorite pieces in their entire collection is the Women’s Drape Front Tank Top. If you’ve got big girls on top, it’s the best tan to get. It hides tummy problems, too. I’d pay $58.00 for it and hope they get it in every color! Free Shipping to a Sears store is super awesome, too!
Honestly, I think the Kardashian Kollection stole the show. Really great pieces, very well made, and when on sale (like RIGHT NOW until September 8th), are super fantastic prices!
There were a few other brands there, like Covington, which had some cute stuff, like this green jewel toned shirt I would wear in a heartbeat. It’s the same color as my Shellac manicure! LOVE THAT.

Also, Bongo….which I scored a great pair of jeans to bring home! They feel like I’m wearing Pajamas. Cannot wait for the cooler weather to hit, so I can throw on the comfy jeans and a big, old sweater, and enjoy the car pool lane up at the kids’ schools! The hunt will be on for a killer pair of boots to wear with them……
All-in-all, it was great to check out the new styles, and collections at the searsStyle™ event at Bagatelle in NYC. Check out the killer brunch I munched on while there…..those eggs, had my all-time favorite TRUFFLES in them. TO. DIE. FOR.
***The jeans, which I wore today (9/8/12) are the most comfortable jeans ever made. They are soft, they feel like you’re wearing leggings, and I could sleep in them. I’m totally getting another pair of these ASAP. They are now my new favorite piece of clothing. Now all I need is that Kardashian Kollection Lace Trenchcoat I’m loving right now, and I’m set for the fall!
