It’s that time again! Summer on Long Island – not much gets better than days on the beach, hiking trails, visiting historical sites, and enjoying amazing outdoor dining. The one thing that is better than all that? It’s the 2025 free Long Island activities taking place in Suffolk and Nassau Counties.

Each year I compile this freebies list for my fellow Long Islanders. It’s a living list – which means LOTS of event dates and specifics aren’t available early in the pre-season. However, as I learn the specifics, I’ll add them. It’s important to bookmark this page, and keep checking back for new additions and updates!

Summer of 2025’s Free Long Island Activities in Suffolk & Nassau Counties

There’s more to Long Island than the Hamptons, ocean beaches, north shore beaches, ferry rides to Fire Island, and shopping at malls and outlets. If you haven’t explored all that our beautiful island has to offer, get out there and experience all of it. If you want to do it in a budget-friendly way, get to know everything Long Island offers FOR FREE to all of us living here, or those visiting us during the summer months.
