2023 Free Long Island Activities Happening this Summer

If you’re not familiar with Long Island, and all of the fun it offers its residents, you’re in luck today! Long Island summer activities are happening almost every day, so it can be difficult to find what you can do and where. Thankfully, I spend some time to locate and then share all the great stuff happening each summer in Nassau County and Suffolk County. Here’s what’s happening throughout both Long Island counties in the summer of 2023. (Just remember, you do need a town recreation card to enter many of the parks where these events and activities are happening.

SUFFOLK COUNTY

Farmingville Flicks

Bring your own seating, and some ice cream money! Movies start at approximately 7pm (DUSK) @ Local Church, 1070 Portion Road, Farmingville

JULY

  • 10th:  Encanto

Moriches Chamber of Commerce

Summer concert series on the front lawn of the Clayton Huey Elementary School. Performances from 7pm to 9pm. Bring your own lawn chair.

Nesconset Day 2023

Free Event celebrating Nesconset. Bounce Houses, Face Painting, Food Trucks, Crafts, Games & Prizes, Vendors and music. Event is free, but there will be vendors, food and activities that will require payment.

Town of Babylon

Town of Babylon’s Summer Concert Series is held at town parks and beaches for town residents. Attendees are encouraged to bring a non-perishable food item for the Town of Babylon Food Pantry.
