It's that time of year again: the days before Christmas. You're lost as to what to get as last minute gifts. Other than a bottle of wine, or a nice picture frame, there's not much you can pick up from the store last minute. Well, that's not true. You can get gift cards to local [...]
Every year the kids look forward to one family tradition around the holidays: making Struffoli with Daddy. Yup. I know. Most of the time kids cook, and bake, with their mothers. Well, here in this house, Mama Sunflower isn't good in the kitchen! Struffoli for the holidays is a tradition I let Daddy handle. It's [...]

I get attached to my electronics. I'm the last person to run out and get a new phone, or tablet, just because it's new. Getting the newest version of tech isn't high on my priority list. It's nothing against the new technology, I'm sure it's fabulous. The issue I have? Phones are getting too big, [...]

Thanksgiving. I remember when I was younger, everyone had to get all their Thanksgiving supplies before the holiday, because no stores were open on Thanksgiving. We all survived having stores closed, because we all headed out to be with loved ones. Now? Stores are opening up earlier, and earlier on Thanksgiving Day. I'm not sure [...]

I'm not a big handbag nut, and I can make my pockets work well. However, the Jane bag is probably my favorite piece of my life right now. It carries my camera, iPad, and so much more.... and works as a travel companion when traveling by air.
DohVinci is the only type of Play-Doh allowed in my house. It's not messy, it doesn't stick in my carpet, and the kids love it. Oh, and it's super inexpensive!
A learning tablet with parental controls, and Kid Connect, which allows kids and parents send and receive messages between the tablet, and a smartphone! #Vtech #holidayguide #holidaygifts2014
There's something about designing, and creating your own jewelry. Whenever I took those tests to see what you'd be good at, it was always jewelry maker. Sometimes these types of "toys" are more fun for me, than for the kids. However, this one, the kids really enjoyed. It's nice to make something from nothing, and complete the project so you can wear it. Totally satisfying!
